This morning at Lew Hays field in Washington Park, Washington, PA was the annual "Pony Champions" game which is a part of the Pony World Series. Previous known as the "Friends Game" it was changed to the "Champions Game" when PONY Baseball and Softball formally announced their newest league in the PONY family is for children with special needs in 2010.
In this very special event all ten of our World Series participating teams line the basepaths cheering on the Champions players as well as assist players in the infield positions. A very memorable experience for everyone involved, the Champions Game is one of the most discussed events by all the World Series participating teams past and present that have been able to help out and attend the event.
