The first pitch of the 4th Annual New Era National Youth Baseball Championships (New Era NYBC) will be thrown out August 25 at Gameday Baseball's First Tennessee Fields in Memphis.
The New Era NYBC features the season's top 10-and-under and 12-and-under teams from eight youth baseball sanctioning bodies, all playing for the title of "The Best of the Best." These sanctioning bodies include: American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC), Amateur Athletic Union of the United States (AAU), Babe Ruth Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF), PONY Baseball, Super Series Baseball of America, and United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). Together, these organizations consist of more than eight million participants.
The 10U Championship Game is scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, August 27. On Sunday night, the 12U Championship Game will take place before a prime time national television audience on the MLB Network.
The New Era NYBC is sponsored by the Major Youth Baseball Associations (MYBA), which is comprised of the eight participating organizations and Major League Baseball. Chicago White Sox Vice Chairman Eddie Einhorn, the catalyst for the formation of the event, serves as the MYBA Executive Director.
